Finding dates with wildcards

Date ‘*-*-1750’: look for passages in 1750.
Date ‘*-*-175*’: look for passages in 1750 till 1759.
Date ‘*-8-175*’: look for passages in August in the years 1750 till 1759.
Date ‘10-*-17*5’: look for passages on the 10e of all months in the years 1705, 1715, 1725 etc.
Date ‘*-10-1755’: look for passages in October 1755.
The date-field can be used in combination with other fields.

Searching between years

You can give a starting year and an ending year with any interval-size
No wildcards allowed; the use of a date in combination with years
overrides the years
   

Remark

While searching on the field 'departure' and/or 'destination' Big region has precedence over Small region and Small region over Port.
